Summary
Using funding from the USU Water Initiative, we created a website with
fully searchable digital facsimiles of a wide variety of primary
resources in the USU archives that document changing conditions and
developments in the Bear River Watershed. They are now accessible at
http://digital.lib.usu.edu/bear.php. The digital collection, still
growing, currently contains 426 maps, photographs, cyanotype prints,
slides, reports, theses, and manuscripts, including a late-1800s plat
book. While functioning as a discrete collection in Utah
State University’s Digital Library, these resources are also part of an
integrated collection of digitized water research resources from the
collections of major western universities called the Western Waters Digital
Library, http://www.westernwaters.org.
